If you check some of the most popular message boards and forums online, you can see that many online marketers are on their knees praying for Google to reverse the latest changes because their websites literally disappeared from SERPs.

I feel sorry for them because I know how it is to lose thousands of daily visitors – without that being your fault. But on the other hand, they are on their own because it’s their own guilt. Why?

Because they’ve decided to rely on Google for traffic! Now Google is dancing again and their business is at great risk, their profit has drastically decreased, they are losing visitors… their sky is falling down at rapid speed!

Yes, it’s their own fault because they didn’t think about this possible scenario before. I know there are many experts and gurus who praise SEO and consider it as “the best way to get free traffic”. I know people believe them. But that’s the reason why many online marketers are losing their businesses these days.

Well, there are experts and gurus who were talking for years that you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket – but very few people are listening to them. However, people who were smart and concentrate on different traffic generation tactics now doesn’t have any problems with traffic and they are smiling out loud on all Google updates.

Why would you want your business being dependable on anyone?

Just think about that. Why on the world would you want something like that? It’s your business, it’s making your money, pays off your bills, puts food on your table – how can you make it dependable on anyone? That’s just crazy!

It’s the same like naming your cousin to collect your paychecks and then giving you enough money to live. But if your cousin go crazy and run away with your money, how will you live and pay for food? Think about that.

Your life is dependable on Google but Google don’t care about you – they care about their own business. They have proven it many times in the past, but people still rely on them. I can’t understand that. It’s simply crazy and, forgive me, but extremely stupid!

Why people rely on Google?

I can see only one reason – lies and wrong information from gurus and experts. Yes, those same people who tell you how SEO is great because it gives you “free” traffic from Google and other search engines. That’s bullshit, but many people fall for that.

First of all, nothing is free out there. Maybe you didn’t pay anything, although many did, but you are investing your time! Is your time free? Mine is not, definitely not! Maybe you have paid something to get those “free” rankings and traffic – like backlinks, software, services… Gurus tend to recommend you various software for various tasks – keyword research, keyword density, competition, blog commenting, backlinking, etc… But it’s free traffic, right? Bullshit!

Use your brain and make some calculations. How much time did you spent on SEO and building good ranks on Google and other search engines? Then calculate in average hour rate of yours, but be realistic – your time is not free! Then add in additional expenses on software and services and you will clearly see how “free” it is… I’m willing to bet you have spent much more money on it than what it actually earned you.

And everything goes with the wind because Google danced… Hundreds or thousands of dollars, hours of work… And how much did you earned?

How do I get traffic then?

First thing you need to do is to send Google to hell. Use your own brain and rely only on yourself when your business is in question, or on people you can really trust. Do you know anyone from Google? Why you think you can trust Google? How many times so far did they screw you over? Get to your senses, damn it!

How will you get traffic without Google? Easy – in the same way like all the gurus are getting it – by purchasing it! You think I’m crazy? I’m lying to you? Gurus told you that SEO is the best option – they even show you some screenshots of top spots! There is no way they are paying for traffic!

Yes, they do! There are very few experts and gurus who rely on search engine traffic. Why? Because that traffic source is unstable and too slow. You need months of work to get serious results from search engines – they don’t have time for that! So yes, they are buying traffic – no matter what they tell you on their sales pages.

It’s easier for them to sell you idea about getting free traffic then to sell you something you will need to pay extra to get and achieve. It’s common sense.

But, gurus are smart because they are using that paid traffic in smart way. How? They are building their mailing list which means they don’t need Google ever again because they have their own source of traffic – targeted buyers traffic! Do you have it? I doubt, because you wouldn’t be mad on Google for the latest update if you have your list.

Listen, I’m not selling you anything, just want to help you. You need to abandon ideas and myths that don’t work, like the one that search engine traffic is free traffic. It’s not. Also, if you want to rely on Google in future, sorry, but you’re dumb and your business is at constant risk. Mine is not and gurus business is not at risk – yours is!

So, start thinking like a businessman – get control of your online business. It’s more profitable that way. Also, you can achieve success much faster. Just think about that. You can invest $100 in solo ad today and get 100 to 200 subscribers tomorrow. With smart opt in funnel, you can earn at least $200 from that. And the best thing is, you have 200 people to contact them again, and again, and again… You don’t need Google for that.

If you don’t know how to go through this, you can check DotComSecrets X program. This is just friendly recommendation and since it’s extremely cheap, it’s more than worth it.

On the other hand, you could go with building up an authority website in any niche you want. Authority sites are not hard to build, but they have their rules, needs and steps that have to be followed. When you build authority site, you still rely on Google in some way, but it’s harder for them to deindex you when you have strong site.

That is why small niche sites, the ones gurus are advising you to build, don’t work. They are not solid, they are not strong, they don’t have any authority no matter how much backlinks you build. That is why it’s easy for Google to dump them. But they can’t do that with sites that have strong authority.

Now, if you want to learn how to build strong authority sites, there is a great course from Nate Rivers from Strayblogger. This course will show you more than just authority site building. It will show you how to build strong website, but also how to monetize it in smart way. The course name is 60 Minutes to $100 Days and it’s fairly cheap if we count in all the content you will get.

Conclusion

Don’t rely on Google with your online business. Don’t rely on anyone except yourself. Gain total control over your online business, traffic, customers and all other aspects that are making you money. Traffic is not expensive at all. It’s fairly cheap to get subscribers to your mailing list these days – and every subscriber on your list is worth at least $0.50 per month. That means you can pay anywhere between $0.50 to $1.50 for every new subscriber.

When it comes to deciding on the contents and chapters, this is where you really need to spend the majority of your time because ultimately it’s the content that’s going to make or break how well your book sells.

There are several sources for content ideas but one of the best and most widely used is Yahoo Answers.

However, sifting through the tens of thousands of questions posted there has always been a real, time-intensive slog…
